The English club officially announces the German manager, 38, who arrives from Al-Ahli following Eddie Howe's resignation.
Newcastle have officially confirmed Matthias Jaissle as their new manager after Eddie Howe's resignation last Friday. The 38-year-old German coach arrives following what the club describes as a "thorough, rigorous and confidential recruitment process."
Jaissle leaves Al-Ahli, where he has been in charge since 2023, to take over at the Magpies. "It's an immense honour to become the head coach of Newcastle United. It's one of the greatest clubs in European football, with unique history, identity and supporters, and I'm eager to experience that passion first-hand," said the former defender, according to L'Équipe.
Newcastle have not yet disclosed the length of his contract or confirmed his coaching staff, details that will be revealed in the coming days. Jaissle has already joined the squad for their pre-season training in La Manga, Spain.
