Javi López loaned to Feyenoord

Real Sociedad's left-back heads to Rotterdam on loan with an option to buy included in the deal.

Javi López is heading out on loan again. The Real Sociedad left-back has failed to convince Matarazzo and the Basque club have sealed his loan move to Feyenoord in Rotterdam for the 2026-27 season, as reported by MARCA. The agreement includes a purchase option for the Dutch side.

The Tenerife-born defender heads to his second consecutive loan spell after spending last season at Oviedo. Signed by Real Sociedad in 2024 from Deportivo Alavés for €6.5 million, López becomes the fifth player to leave San Sebastián this summer, following Aritz Elustondo, Wesley, Caleta-Car and Brais Méndez. His spell at Real Sociedad has not lived up to expectations despite signing a contract until 2030.
