Atlético eye Jenni Hermoso as final masterpiece for 2026-27

Atlético Madrid Women continue strengthening their squad for the 2026-27 season. They've already announced the signings of Lucía Rodríguez, Maite Zubieta, Génesis Pérez, Henrietta Csiszár, Viola Calligaris and Allegra Poljak, along with the loan of Celia Segura from Barcelona's B team.

Now the rojiblancas are eyeing the final piece: Jenni Hermoso. According to Mundo Deportivo, Atlético are interested in "repatriating" the 36-year-old Madrid striker to finish her career at the club where she made her name years ago. The forward, who already played for the club in two previous spells, appears very keen on returning.

Mexican media report that Hermoso may have rescinded her contract with Tigres, which was set to expire in late 2026, becoming a free agent. This would allow Atlético to bring her in without a transfer fee. The club has already pursued her comeback on previous occasions, but there's genuine optimism this time given their excellent relationship with the player.
