The Spanish striker closes her stint at Tigres after winning the Mexican Apertura 2025 and heads back to the rojiblanco club.
Jenni Hermoso has officially concluded her spell as a Tigres UANL player and everything points to Atletico Madrid being her destination upon her return to Spain, according to *Mundo Deportivo*.
The 36-year-old striker said goodbye to the Mexican club on Saturday after winning the Apertura 2025 tournament and the Campeón de Campeonas title a year earlier. In a video posted by Tigres on social media, Hermoso expressed her gratitude: "There's a phrase that says growing up is learning to say goodbye, for me it will never be a goodbye, it will be a see you soon because I'm very clear that part of my life stays here in Mexico, stays here at Tigres".
Coming home
Hermoso arrived in Mexico in 2022 from Pachuca and joined Tigres in 2024, where she would enjoy one of the most successful periods of her career. "I've learned here that happiness encompasses so much and what Mexico has given me is peace of mind. It's given me so much peace in everything I do", she said.
The striker is a World Cup champion with Spain following the 2023 World Cup victory and returns to an Atletico Madrid where she has previously played. Her Spanish record also includes spells at Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano, plus experience in Sweden with Tyresö FF and in France with Paris Saint-Germain.
Tigres said farewell to Hermoso with an emotional message: "You landed in San Nicolás as a World Champion. Here you conquered the Liga MX Femenil and the Campeón de Campeonas. You will always be an Amazon!"
