Julián passes medical tests on return to Atlético

The Argentine completed fitness exams alongside Llorente and Baena before the club's preseason campaign.

Julián Álvarez has passed the mandatory medical tests upon his return to Atlético Madrid, according to MARCA. The Argentine striker underwent fitness examinations at the Sports Medicine Center of High Performance at Universitario Vithas Madrid Arturo Soria Hospital, alongside Marcos Llorente and Álex Baena, both World Cup winners.

Although he was due to rejoin training on Monday, August 10th, completing the medical tests delays his pitch debut. His teammates have already cleared these examinations and begun working on the field. Over the coming days, the Madrid side's players will train at different paces depending on their fitness levels following their summer breaks.

The club prepares for its league debut against Málaga at the Metropolitano, scheduled for one week later. Before that, on Friday, the rojiblancos wrap up preseason with a friendly in Marseille.
