Kompany shuts down speculation over Olise's Bayern future

Bayern boss ends any doubt about French winger's commitment to the club ahead of Hong Kong friendly.

Ahead of Bayern's friendly against Aston Villa in Hong Kong on Friday, Vincent Kompany has moved to end any speculation about Michael Olise's future. «For me, there was never any doubt about his future, about him staying with us. As for his private life, that is private, and it is nobody else's business. He is on holiday now and deserves to enjoy his rest,» the Munich boss said, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Kompany's comments come after German outlet Bild reported that Fatima Zaunbrecher accused Olise of failing to pay child support for their 20-month-old daughter. The French winger is currently on holiday following his World Cup campaign, where he registered 8 assists and broke Pelé's historic assist record.

Kompany also praised his opponent for Friday's match. «Unai Emery is a very good coach,» he said of the Aston Villa manager, Europa League champions. Bayern are in the midst of their preseason preparations.
