📷 MARCAKubo returns in friendly against Cologne
The Japanese winger played his first preseason minutes against Cologne, fully recovered from the injury he suffered at the World Cup.
Take Kubo took to the pitch in the 61st minute of Real Sociedad's second preseason friendly against Cologne, according to MARCA. The nippon winger joined training late after enjoying the vacation he had missed during the World Cup, where he suffered a knee injury.
In the 30 minutes he was on the field, the Japanese international showed good form despite wearing a small bandage on his left knee (the one he injured on June 15th). Kubo made unbalancing moves down the right wing, with one run into the area where he struck with his right foot and the local goalkeeper had to clear with difficulty.
The txuriurdin star arrives at this season in need of a strong campaign. Last year was his most disappointing in his four seasons at Anoeta, hampered by a muscular problem that kept him sidelined for three months. Now he must reaffirm himself as a key player at Real Sociedad and reclaim his importance in the project.
