La Liga will postpone its decision on whether to reschedule the Celta-Osasuna match until Thursday, according to MARCA. The fixture was scheduled for Sunday, August 16 at 21:30 at Balaídos, but a fungal infection has left the pitch in poor condition.

The Galician club requested the postponement after discovering the problem, while Osasuna preferred to keep the original date. La Liga wants to wait another 24 hours to check if the pitch improves before making a final decision.

This would not be the first date change requested by Celta this season: the club could have asked for a postponement when Borja Iglesias participated in the World Cup final, but chose not to do so as it considered it in their best interests.
