Larcamón promises reinforcements soon for Sporting

Nicolás Larcamón confirmed on Saturday that Sporting plans to wrap up signings in the coming days. The announcement came after a 2-4 friendly defeat to Valladolid in their final preseason match at El Molinón.

The coach admitted that defence is «one of the areas that needs the most improvement», especially following a second half where the team conceded three goals in four minutes. However, Larcamón was positive about the display: Sporting went in at half-time 2-1 up courtesy of a brace from Juan Otero, but the plan to give minutes to many players left them short of fresh legs after the momentum shifted.

On tactics, the manager ruled out sticking to a single formation and revealed he's working on «variations with a four-man line through the inclusion of one of the three midfielders». Ahead of their league debut against Sabadell, Larcamón called for the fans' backing: «Next Monday this will be a party,» according to Mundo Deportivo.
