Liso will have to join Mallorca permanently if he plays 24 games

Mallorca won't just buy Adrián Liso if they are promoted to La Liga. According to Sport, the loan contract for the Real Zaragoza winger includes a clause that forces the Balearic side to execute the purchase if the player reaches 24 official starts or accumulates at least 45 minutes in 24 matches during the coming season.

A winning deal for Zaragoza

The purchase option is worth around €3.5-4 million, plus the €500,000 loan fee and a percentage of any future transfer between 20 and 30%. If triggered, Liso will sign a four-year extension through 2031. Zaragoza initially demanded €5 million in the summer, so the operation works out very favourably for the Aragonese side, who will also retain rights in future deals.

Liso will improve his current wages (€150,000 plus another €150,000 in bonuses) and wear number 33 as a B-team player. The only scenario where Mallorca could choose not to buy is if they fail to go up and the winger doesn't hit those participation figures: then it would be the club's decision, as Getafe did last May when they rejected signing him for €3 million after a solid top-flight campaign.

"I'm very happy to take on this challenge," Liso said to Mallorca's official media, per Sport. "I'm a humble guy and a player ready to play in any position where the manager wants me," added the Zaragoza youngster, who trained yesterday under Luis García's orders and could make his debut this Saturday against Valladolid.
