The Croatian goalkeeper has been offered to Barcelona by Fenerbahçe, though the Catalan club has not responded so far.
Dominik Livakovic, the 31-year-old Croatian international goalkeeper, has been offered to FC Barcelona by Fenerbahçe, according to Index HR. The proposal includes three million euros plus variables, with the idea of loaning him for a year to Dinamo Zagreb while waiting for Wojciech Szczesny's contract at the Catalan club to end.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona club has not responded to the offer, so there is no operation underway at the moment. The goalkeeper's contract with Fenerbahçe runs until 2028.
Other options on the table
Looking ahead to next season, Barcelona has other options to consider. Álex Remiro, the 31-year-old goalkeeper at Real Sociedad, is an alternative who will become available on a free transfer when his contract with the Basque club expires.
Livakovic has 79 caps for Croatia and is known for his penalty-saving ability. He has featured in three World Cups (Qatar 2022, where he played seven matches, and the United States 2024, with four matches), as well as the Euros in 2021 and 2024. He joined Fenerbahçe in 2023 after a long spell at Dinamo Zagreb. This season, he was loaned to Girona during the early part of the campaign but did not get any playing time, returning to Istanbul in January. Currently, his situation at the Turkish club is complicated, as Ederson, the former Manchester City player, is the number-one goalkeeper.
