Lyon travel to Prague for Champions League preliminary round

Olympique Lyonnais travel to Sparta Praha on Tuesday for the first leg of the Champions League third qualifying round, according to *L'Équipe*.

The French side finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season and must overcome two more hurdles to reach the group stage, which they haven't experienced since 2020. Their summer preparation has been mixed, highlighted by a 4-0 defeat to Betis in their final friendly.

Meanwhile, Sparta have already begun their domestic campaign with mixed fortunes: a 1-3 loss to Brno and a 3-1 victory over Zlin.
