Málaga worried over Dotor and Calero injuries
Dotor and Calero forced off in friendly against Ceuta with physical problems days before LaLiga debut.
Málaga CF are on high alert. Just days before LaLiga EA Sports kicks off, two key players suffered physical problems in Friday's friendly against Ceuta (2-1 defeat), according to Sport.
Carlos Dotor, midfielder on loan from Celta de Vigo, was substituted immediately after the restart. He left the pitch showing signs of limping, though the club has yet to provide details on the severity. Minutes later, Fernando Calero also had to leave the match after being treated on the pitch for a blow to the ribs.
Funes, the club's manager, made no attempt to hide his concern after the game: "Worried about Dotor and Calero's injuries. Hopefully it's nothing, because if it's more serious it will cost us dearly." The medical report will determine whether both players are fit for their LaLiga debut against Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano.
