Mallorca breaks attendance record and closes Costa sale

RCD Mallorca faces a historic season marked by two major milestones. According to *Sport*, the club has reached 19,552 season-ticket holders for the 2026-27 campaign, the best record in their Segunda División history and a sign of overwhelming fan support despite their recent relegation.

Alfonso Díaz, the club's Director of Business, has praised this response as a success: having around 20,000 supporters at each home match will be crucial in fighting for immediate promotion back to La Liga. The goal is to make Son Moix one of the team's key competitive advantages.

Meanwhile, Mallorca is working to finalize the sale of Samu Costa to Al Nassr for approximately €22 million, which would become the club's biggest transfer ever, surpassing Kang-in Lee's move to PSG. The Portuguese midfielder, who arrived from Almería three years ago for €3 million, would join the Saudi club where he'd share a dressing room with Cristiano Ronaldo and João Félix. Almería retains a percentage of any future resale profit, so they will also benefit economically from the deal.
