Manchester rejects selling Rodri but sets his price

City says no to Rodri's exit but would negotiate for around €70 million, according to English press.

Manchester press views Rodri's potential move to Barcelona as a tremendous and even historic loss for City. The Spanish international is considered the backbone of the English team and one of the world's best midfielders, so filling the void he would leave would be very difficult.

According to *Manchester Evening News*, City does not want to sell the player and would only consider his departure if it becomes impossible to renew his contract, which expires in 2027. However, English press reports that the club would be willing to negotiate for a figure close to £60 million, around €70 million. Internally, the priority remains convincing Rodri to extend his deal.

City is already studying alternatives as a precaution, considering names like Mateo Kovacic and Nico González. Meanwhile, Barcelona has capitalized on the standoff in negotiations with Real Madrid and, according to English media, Hansi Flick and Deco have already held talks with the player. The final decision will depend on Rodri, who wants to return to Spain.
