Marseille and Leverkusen seal Facundo Medina's transfer for 25 million euros, bonuses included.
Olympique de Marseille and Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement for the departure of Facundo Medina. According to L'Équipe, the deal is finalized at €25 million (€23 million fixed plus €2 million in add-ons).
The 27-year-old Argentine defender, who arrived at the French club last summer from Lens, has already approved the German project. Medina will sign a contract of approximately five years with the Bundesliga side after enjoying his holidays.
The final days were intense in negotiations: Leverkusen made an initial offer that Marseille rejected, but the second proposal was accepted. A sale that arrives at a convenient moment for the French club's finances.
