Molina leaves Atlético Madrid for Roma

Nahuel Molina is living his final hours as an Atlético Madrid player. The Argentine international, 28, spent just ten minutes this morning at the Majadahonda training ground to collect his belongings before heading to the airport.

This afternoon he is set to arrive in Rome to complete the final formalities of his transfer to the Italian club, according to Mundo Deportivo. The agreement between both clubs is done and the player has given his approval—only the medical tests and contract signature remain before it becomes official.

This brings an end to a four-year spell at the Metropolitano that the club values for the player's professionalism, though they understand his cycle there had run its course. Matteo Ruggeri is in a similar situation, with his move to Aston Villa awaiting completion of the necessary procedures.
