Moriba stays in Vigo and misses Celta's Italy tour

Ilaix Moriba did not travel on Wednesday with Celta to Italy for the mini tour the Galician side will undertake in the coming days, according to MARCA. The midfielder will miss the planned friendlies against Sassuolo (Wednesday) and Napoli (Saturday).

The reason is straightforward: the Vigo club is still looking to sell the player before the transfer window closes on August 31st. Celta already tried to offload Moriba in June without success, so they have decided to limit his participation until they secure a deal or exhaust negotiation options.

Matías Vecino finds himself in the same boat, also not traveling to Italy. The Uruguayan midfielder, who arrived just half a year ago, is also available on the market. The club hopes to find exits for both and the rest of the transferable players soon.
