The Argentine full-back leaves Atlético Madrid after reaching an agreement with the Italian club for 18 million euros.
Nahuel Molina and Roma have reached an agreement for the defender to leave Atlético Madrid. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Italian club will pay 18 million euros for the transfer, including bonuses, and has signed the Argentine until 2031 on a contract worth around three million per season.
The right-back will undergo his medical examinations in the coming hours for the deal to be made official. With his departure, Molina brings an end to an irregular spell at the Metropolitano after making 181 appearances in which he scored 9 goals and provided 16 assists. Simeone had relegated him to the bench behind Marcos Llorente on the right flank.
Molina's exit opens the door for Atlético to raise funds for their market targets. As we reported yesterday, Ruggeri is also close to joining Aston Villa, while the club is working on signing centre-back Cuti Romero for a fee around 30-40 million.
