Newcastle reject Man Utd enquiry for Lewis Hall

Newcastle United have told Manchester United that Lewis Hall is not for sale this summer, after rejecting an initial enquiry from the Old Trafford club two weeks ago, according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old England international left-back is a long-term target for Manchester United as they seek a long-term successor to Luke Shaw. However, Newcastle have firmly closed the door on any potential deal, and are themselves looking to add another full-back to their squad.

Hall has three years remaining on his contract with Newcastle. Manchester United head into the new season with Shaw as their only senior left-back option following Tyrell Malacia's free transfer departure. Michael Carrick's side continue to explore other targets as they look to strengthen the squad.
