Nicolás Valentini joins Alavés as new centre-back

Deportivo Alavés and ACF Fiorentina have reached an agreement for the transfer of Argentine centre-back Nicolás Valentini to the Vitoria club, according to Mundo Deportivo. The player has signed a contract until 30 June 2029.

Valentini, born in Junín on 6 April 2001, is a left-footed centre-back standing 1.87 metres tall and formed in Boca Juniors' youth academy. The 25-year-old Argentine established himself in South American elite football, winning the Argentine Super Cup in 2023 and reaching the Copa Libertadores final that same year with Boca.

After joining Fiorentina in early 2025, he was loaned to Hellas Verona to gain Serie A experience. He excels in duels, defensive strength, aerial play and leadership on the pitch. Valentini is already in Vitoria and will join Quique Sánchez Flores' pre-season training tomorrow.
