📷 Mundo DeportivoFresh injury blow for Pogba at Monaco
The French midfielder goes down in training just as he was regaining his rhythm with the principality club.
Paul Pogba can't catch a break. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Frenchman picked up an injury during AS Monaco's training session today at St George's Park, where the club is holding its preseason.
The incident happened during a reduced match: Pogba cried out before collapsing to the ground with pain in his left thigh and had to leave the pitch with medical staff support, visibly frustrated. It's a tough moment for the midfielder, who had only just overcome a knee issue that had been bothering him since summer.
This is the second injury in quick succession for a player already going through a difficult spell. Last season he managed just 115 minutes of action, and in this preseason had only featured for 45 minutes in one match. Coach Filipe Luis and the club's hierarchy had hoped these weeks would be key to getting him back to his level, but injuries continue to block his path.
