Official: Bruno Guimaraes joins Arsenal for over €85 million

Bruno Guimaraes is now officially an Arsenal player. The 28-year-old Brazilian midfielder has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners until 2031 for a fee around €90 million, according to L'Équipe.

As we reported yesterday, the deal has been agreed for weeks, but Arsenal took time to complete all formalities and meet Newcastle's demands. Guimaraes arrives at the Emirates wearing number 39 after three and a half seasons at Newcastle, where he established himself as a regular for Brazil with 48 caps.

The signing significantly strengthens Arsenal's midfield and will provide relief for Declan Rice. Meanwhile, Newcastle loses a second midfield cornerstone this summer, following Sandro Tonali's departure to Tottenham. Guimaraes joins fellow new recruits Piero Hincapié, Illan Meslier, and Christos Tzolis.
