Official: Gattoni leaves Sevilla for Ascoli

Federico Gattoni is now officially an Ascoli player. The Argentine centre-back, 27, leaves Sevilla after nearly two years at Nervión to compete in Italian Serie B next season, with an option for an additional campaign.

Gattoni arrived in Andalusia in summer 2023 following a loan spell from his hometown club San Lorenzo. His time at Nervión offered limited minutes: just two LaLiga appearances and two Copa del Rey outings, scoring once against Astorga. He was subsequently loaned to Anderlecht and then River Plate.

His departure marks another step in Sevilla's summer squad overhaul. According to the club's official statement, only Marcao and Pedrosa remain from Monchi's final era following exits of Nianzou, Rafa Mir and Joan Jordán, plus Gudelj's contract expiration.
