Mikel Oyarzabal, the World Cup top scorer, trains normally after just four sessions and could face Chelsea this Saturday.
Mikel Oyarzabal returned to Zubieta on Monday following a three-week break after the World Cup, yet according to MARCA, the Real Sociedad captain appears to need no lengthy preseason. While his teammates have been training since July 4th under Pellegrino Matarazzo, the world champions' leading scorer was already working normally from Tuesday onwards, having passed the usual medical tests upon his return.
With merely four training sessions under his belt, it remains to be seen whether Oyarzabal makes the squad for London to face Chelsea — managed by Xabi Alonso — this Saturday in the final preseason friendly. Matarazzo will announce the list after Friday's final session at Zubieta. The Real Sociedad forward has little time before his league debut on August 21st against Betis at La Cartuja.
