Palace seal Khalaili signing from Union Saint-Gilloise

Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Israeli international Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise. According to BBC Sport, the south London club have paid £21 million for the 21-year-old, who has penned a deal until 2031.

Khalaili arrives after a impressive campaign in Belgium, where he helped his side win the Pro League title—their first in 90 years—and the Belgian Cup. The winger and full-back scored six goals last season, three of which came in the Champions League.

European pedigree and ambition

The player, who boasts 16 caps for Israel, is familiar with continental football. His arrival bolsters Pierre Sage's squad for their Europa League campaign this season. "I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it's a new challenge for me. And Crystal Palace I like because I have followed them. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more," Khalaili said following the deal's completion.

With this addition, Crystal Palace now have made five summer signings: full-backs Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oscar Mingueza arrived on free transfers, Dwight McNeil joined in exchange for Brennan Johnson, and Evann Guessand returned on loan from Aston Villa.
