Pau Sans did not participate in Real Zaragoza's training session on Friday due to muscle discomfort, according to Sport. The coaching staff led by Ibai has decided to manage the player's workload carefully, following the cautious approach already shown in the previous friendly against Andorra.
In the same vein, both Saidu and Pinilla had to sit out the match against the Catalan side, though neither missed Friday's session. The former is dealing with a slight overload, while the latter has a foot problem. It remains to be seen whether both will feature in Saturday's match at the Ibercaja Estadio for the Memorial Carlos Lapetra tournament.
Meanwhile, Sem Westerveld continues to take precautions with his right knee, though the coaching staff has ruled out any serious issue. The goalkeeper suffered a serious injury to the same joint in 2024 that nearly forced him into retirement.
