Pedro Felipe injured on his Racing debut

Pedro Felipe's debut with Racing Santander came to a premature end. The Brazilian centre-back suffered an injury in the 14th minute of the match against Villarreal last Sunday and had to leave the pitch. The images showed clear signs of discomfort, which initially suggested a serious problem.

Medical tests carried out by Racing's medical team have confirmed a muscle strain in the right thigh hamstring, according to MARCA. The good news is that the injury is grade 1, which significantly reduces recovery time compared to what could have been worse.

Recovery after the break

Pedro Felipe is expected to be available after the September-October league break, though the club prefers to be cautious and states that «it will depend on his progress». Meanwhile, José Alberto has Pablo Ramón, Manu Hernando and Facu González as defensive options, with Salinas and Mantilla as emergency alternatives.
