Real Madrid seal Yan Diomandé and push to keep Vinícius

Real Madrid has finalized the signing of the Ivorian for €135m (a club record) and offered an improved contract to Brazilian winger Vinícius to ward off Arsenal.

The operation for Yan Diomandé is moving at full speed. According to The Guardian, Real Madrid has definitively closed a deal with RB Leipzig worth €135 million (€125m upfront plus €10m in add-ons), making the Ivorian the most expensive signing in the club's history, surpassing the €134 million paid for Jude Bellingham two years ago.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who shone at the World Cup with Côte d'Ivoire, will sign until 2031. His arrival also makes him the most expensive African player ever, ahead of the £72 million Arsenal paid for Nicolas Pépé in 2019.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is also moving to retain Vinícius Júnior. After a meeting on Wednesday between the Brazilian and club officials, Madrid has significantly improved its contract offer, bringing it closer to the €30 million per season the winger demanded. Despite reports of an initial rejection, negotiations are progressing positively. Arsenal, preparing alternative targets, remains on alert with an offer exceeding £100 million.
