Manchester City confirm Tijjani Reijnders' £52m transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah.
Manchester City have confirmed the departure of Tijjani Reijnders to Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Qadsiah. According to BBC Sport, the Citizens have sealed the transfer of the Dutch midfielder for £52 million, nearly recovering their initial investment of £46.5 million when he arrived from AC Milan just over a year ago.
The 28-year-old international trained away from City's main squad on Thursday as the deal was finalised. His time at Manchester proved brief, as he failed to establish himself under Pep Guardiola despite a promising start, scoring seven goals in 47 appearances. He will now join the Saudi club managed by Brendan Rodgers, the former Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester boss.
Reijnders' exit marks part of a significant overhaul of City's midfield, coming at a time of uncertainty surrounding Rodri's future and the club's reported interest in Chelsea's Enzo Fernández.
