Rodri lands in Barcelona: "Playing here is a dream"

Rodri Hernández has arrived in Barcelona to finalize his signing with the blaugrana club. Manchester City and Barcelona sealed the agreement yesterday for the Spanish midfielder, according to Mundo Deportivo: €60 million fixed plus €11 million in add-ons based on titles won.

Shortly after landing in Catalonia, the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner spoke to the assembled media with words of excitement: "I'm happy to arrive, it's been an intense few days, delighted to be here. Playing at Barcelona is a dream. We're going for the Champions League and for everything that comes our way," he told reporters at the private terminal.

Medical tests and presentation

Tomorrow morning Rodri will undergo medical and fitness tests, a mandatory step before signing his contract. The club plans to present him from 1 p.m. onwards, once bureaucratic procedures and document exchange with City are completed.

With this operation, Barcelona seals its summer marquee signing after incorporating Gordon, Adeyemi, Bisiwu and Cancelo earlier. The Madrid-born midfielder returns to his former club after seven years in the Premier League, where he has established himself as one of the world's best in his position.
