Rodri trains with Barcelona after signing until 2030
The Spanish midfielder completed his first session at the Catalan club this Wednesday after sealing his move from Manchester City.
Rodri Hernández has already stepped onto the pitch as a Barcelona player. The Madrid-born midfielder took part in his first training session with the Catalan club this Wednesday, according to *Sport*, at the Joan Gamper Sports City after finalizing all administrative requirements for his arrival.
The Spanish international reached Barcelona last Monday and signed his contract the following day, committing to the club until June 30, 2030. Rodri integrated into a light activation session run by the coaching staff, making direct contact with his new teammates and getting acquainted with the team's working methods.
A world-class signing
The incorporation of the midfielder represents one of Barcelona's major moves for this season. Rodri arrives as captain of the Spanish national team and holder of the Ballon d'Or from the United States, Mexico and Canada World Cup, establishing himself as a top-tier piece in Barcelona's new project.
Presentation and wait for debut
This Wednesday afternoon, the midfielder will have his first direct contact with Barcelona fans during the squad presentation at the Spotify Camp Nou as part of the Joan Gamper Trophy events. However, he will not debut in tonight's friendly against Egyptian Al-Ahly: Rodri will continue training to complete his fitness before his official LaLiga debut next Sunday against Elche.
