Salah arrives in Turkey to seal Trabzonspor move

Mohamed Salah stepped off the plane at Istanbul Ataturk Airport on Wednesday wearing Trabzonspor's burgundy and blue kit, greeted by hundreds of fans eager for a glimpse of the Egyptian forward. He posted a video message saying: "Trabzon, are you ready? I can hear you. See you very soon" while in the club's colours, referencing Trabzonspor's motto.

According to The Guardian, Trabzonspor announced on Tuesday they are in negotiations with Salah, and club chairman Ertugrul Dogan confirmed they expect to wrap up the deal as a free transfer at a ceremony in the Black Sea city on Thursday. Upon arrival, Salah waved to supporters and started a traditional chant with them before heading for his medical examination.

Salah departs Liverpool after nine seasons where he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances, winning the Premier League twice and the Champions League once. In the previous campaign, he notched 29 league goals and 18 assists, equalling the record for most goal involvements in a season and setting a new mark for a 38-game campaign. He clinched the Premier League Player of the Season award, the Golden Boot and the Playmaker Award—the first player ever to win all three in a single season.
