Sazonov unveiled at Getafe: «I'm focused on the present»

Getafe officially presented Saba Sazonov on Wednesday, their new defensive signing from Torino. The Georgian arrives on a free transfer with a contract through 2027 after his departure from the Italian club.

At his presentation, Sazonov was candid about his recent career. He acknowledged having barely played in the past two seasons but stressed he is focused on "the present" and ready to give everything in this new challenge, as reported by MARCA.

The defender expressed his satisfaction at joining the Madrid outfit and praised the squad's atmosphere. "I'm very happy to have signed here. The dressing room is like a family with a great vibe," he said. Sazonov also confirmed he has already spoken with manager Bordalás during early training sessions and feels supported by the Alicante coach. The club will compete in the league, Conference League and Copa del Rey this season.
