Simeone reaffirms Julián won't leave despite Barcelona and Madrid interest

Diego Simeone has made it crystal clear once again that Atlético Madrid has no intention of selling Julián Alvarez, despite the interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid. Speaking in a press conference ahead of a friendly against Manchester City in Seoul, the rojiblanco manager restated the club's stance: «The situation is clear. The club has made a decision that Miguel Ángel has explained very well. We're very happy to have a player like Julián and we'll help him continue to grow and give his best».

As we reported earlier, Atlético is holding firm on its position from the start of the transfer window. The general director has already confirmed the rejection of a €100 million offer and stated they wouldn't accept proposals of 150 or 200 million either. The Argentine forward's release clause sits at €500 million, a figure that effectively locks him into the rojiblanco project.
