Sow set for Genoa move from Sevilla

Genoa is putting the finishing touches to bring Djibril Sow from Sevilla. According to MARCA, the Swiss midfielder has already reached an economic agreement with the Italian club in recent hours, with only the formalities between the two sides pending.

Sow is expected to travel to Italy shortly to undergo his medical examination and sign his contract. The Swiss international, who featured at the recent World Cup, had recently returned to Sevilla's training sessions alongside compatriot Rubén Vargas, but his time at the Spanish club is coming to an end.

Signed from Eintracht in 2023, the midfielder made 100 appearances for Sevilla, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists. His departure also helps Sevilla ease the pressure on their wage bill, following the recent exit of Rafa Mir to Greece.
