Sporting and Huesca advance in talks for Kembo loan

The deal is on the home straight. According to Sport, Sporting and Huesca have made significant progress in negotiations for the loan of Yann Kembo, a French central defender left out of Nicolás Larcamón's plans. The Aragonese side, among the main candidates for promotion to the top flight, has beaten the interest of other clubs such as Unionistas de Salamanca.

The Gijón club won't confirm the deal yet, but everything suggests it will be a matter of hours. Huesca secures a future purchase option while Kembo will gain minutes after spending the second half of last season on loan at Ibiza.

Kembo's departure clears defensive space, although Sporting continues to pursue central defender Andrés Cuenca to bolster their backline. The Andalusian remains the priority at Mareo, though his current situation at Como complicates his arrival at this stage of the window.
