Strasbourg closes in on Ortega and Kellyman

Strasbourg is closing in on signing Jacobo Ortega, the 20-year-old striker from Real Madrid, according to L'Équipe. The two clubs are in advanced talks to secure the Spanish forward, who had three years remaining on his contract with the Spanish giants.

Ortega is a product of Real Madrid's academy who impressed in the Youth League last season, scoring 4 goals in 10 matches. His most important goal came in the final, where Real Madrid defeated Club Brugge on penalties (1-1, 4-2 in the shootout).

Strasbourg's attacking overhaul

The Alsatian club is not stopping at Ortega. Strasbourg is also on the verge of reaching an agreement with Chelsea to bring in Omari Kellyman, the versatile 20-year-old forward. The deal would include a buyback clause for Chelsea. Kellyman was signed by Chelsea from Aston Villa for €22.5 million in 2024 and last season recorded 11 goals in 36 matches in the English third division during his loan spell at Cardiff City.

On Friday, Strasbourg officially announced the signing of German-Portuguese winger Fabio Baldé, completing an important round of attacking reinforcements as they prepare for the new campaign.
