The Argentine winger will spend next season at Levante after both clubs agreed to a loan deal.
Villarreal and Levante have completed the loan move for Argentine winger Thiago Fernández for the upcoming campaign, both clubs announced on Tuesday through Mundo Deportivo.
The 22-year-old joined the 'groguet' side last winter after his contract with Vélez Sarsfield expired, signing a deal until 2031. At the Argentine club he accumulated 48 appearances, six goals and nine assists, playing a key role in winning the 2024 Apertura tournament. However, a serious knee injury in December derailed his progress.
Fernández spent the final months of last season on loan at Oviedo, where he made sixteen appearances in La Liga. The move addresses Villarreal's need to free up non-EU player spots in their squad, while Levante sought to strengthen their wing options.
