Toulouse officially sign Danish midfielder Jörgensen

Toulouse have officially confirmed the signing of Danish midfielder Thomas Jörgensen from fellow Dane club Viborg. The 20-year-old signs a four-year deal in a move worth €7.5 million, which could rise to around €10 million with bonuses, according to *L'Équipe*.

A club record investment

If those €10 million add-ons are met, Jörgensen would become the most expensive signing in Toulouse's history, surpassing midfielder Wesley Saïd, who arrived from Dijon in 2019 for €8 million. The young Danish midfielder comes with solid credentials from Viborg, who finished fifth in the Danish top flight last season.

What to expect

Last season, Jörgensen scored 5 goals and provided 9 assists, impressive numbers for a player of his age. The midfielder has already been called up by Denmark's national team, though he's yet to earn a cap. With this signing, he becomes the third Danish player at the club, joining manager Jens Berthel Askou and captain Rasmus Nicolaisen.
