📷 Mundo DeportivoTunkara turns down Europe: only wants to succeed at Barcelona
Young Ebrima Tunkara (16) shuns interest from top European clubs and commits to Barcelona's future.
Ebrima Tunkara (16 years old) is proving to be one of Barcelona's standout prospects in this preseason. The La Masia jewel, who joined the club in summer 2021, is preparing with the first team under Hansi Flick, who according to *Mundo Deportivo* is «delighted with his work and closely monitoring his progress».
Despite his youth, the Gambian-born player's potential has not gone unnoticed across European football. According to the Catalan outlet, several of Europe's biggest clubs have already shown interest and are attempting to persuade the youngster and his family to leave Barcelona. However, Tunkara is determined to make it at Barcelona.
A future only in blue and garnet
Aware of the importance of surrounding himself with top-level people off the pitch as well, shortly after turning 16 he signed Pini Zahavi as his agent. The winger-midfielder, who has already impressed at Spain's U-17 level and made his Barcelona B debut at just 15, is now living his dream training alongside the senior squad.
His next challenge is to convince Flick to grant him maximum opportunities to train with the big names, knowing that being surrounded by the best talents will demand more from him and bring his first-team breakthrough closer. He stands out for his physical power, technical quality and eye for goal, capable of playing both as an interior and attacking midfielder.
