The Turkish striker returns to Spanish football after closing his transfer from Bournemouth, where injuries hindered his progress.
Enes Ünal is on the verge of returning to play in Spain. The 29-year-old Turkish striker is heading back to Getafe after a disappointing spell in England, largely due to the injuries that have plagued him.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the deal is already closed: he arrives from Bournemouth on a transfer. Interest in his return had been growing for weeks, but accelerated following Uche's serious injury. He is expected to travel to Madrid in the coming hours to undergo his medical examination.
Before moving to England in 2023, Ünal had enjoyed two spectacular seasons at Getafe with 16 and 14 goals respectively. He will now rejoin Satriano in attack under José Bordalás, with significant minutes also expected for Borja Mayoral. The Madrid-based club will compete in European football this season.
