Valentini set to join Alavés from Fiorentina

Alavés are on the verge of sealing the signing of Nicolás Valentini, a 25-year-old Argentine centre-back from Fiorentina. According to MARCA, negotiations are in their final stages and the deal could be announced within hours.

Valentini arrives to strengthen the left side of Alavés' defence, where boss Quique Sánchez Flores has limited options with only Ville Koski available while Facundo Garcés serves a FIFA ban. The defender is commanding in the air with solid ball-handling, having made 21 Serie A appearances on loan at Hellas Verona last season. He previously played for Aldosivi and Boca Juniors in Argentina.

The Vitoria club is offering a long-term contract. This signing represents a key objective for the summer transfer window, with the Basque side using funds from sales like Víctor Parada's exit. It will be Alavés' fourth summer reinforcement.
