Valentini set to complete move to Alavés from Fiorentina

The deal is progressing smoothly. According to Mundo Deportivo, Alavés have an almost done agreement for Argentine center-back Nicolás Valentini from Fiorentina, with negotiations in the final stages and the 25-year-old's arrival in Vitoria set to become official very soon.

Valentini, a former Boca Juniors player, spent the last two seasons on loan at Hellas Verona in Serie A. His signing will bolster the defensive core under Sergio Fernández, a key summer priority for the Basque club. The Argentine stands out for his aerial dominance and composure on the ball in build-up play.

With this addition, Alavés would complete their fourth signing of the campaign: following arrivals of Ville Koski (NK Istria), Miguel Rodríguez (Utrecht) and Mikel Rodríguez (Real Sociedad), Valentini would become the final piece in a busy transfer window at Mendizorroza.
