Valentini joins Alavés with excitement: "It was my dream"

Nicolás Valentini was presented on Monday at Mendizorroza as Alavés' new signing. The Argentine defender expressed his excitement about taking the step into Spanish football with the Basque club, according to Marca.

During the presentation ceremony alongside sporting director Sergio Fernández, Valentini highlighted his smooth adaptation to the city and the project. "I've found a very nice city and a very well-organised club. I'm very happy," he said. The defender explained that a video call with Fernández was decisive: "I liked the project and it was an easy decision to make".

Valentini finds his adjustment easier thanks to fellow Argentines in the squad, though he admitted not knowing them personally beforehand. Regarding his fitness, Valentini expressed confidence: "I've been training with a coach who left me in perfect shape and I'm ready to be concentrated and play whenever the team needs me." The centre-back is preparing to make his debut on Saturday in the season opener against Getafe.
