The Brazilian forward signs a six-year extension to end Arsenal's hopes of landing him this summer.
Vinicius Junior has ended speculation over his future by signing a new six-year contract with Real Madrid through 2032, according to Sky Sports.
The winger, who was entering the final year of his previous deal, has rejected Arsenal's interest after months of monitoring his contract talks. "Eight years at the Bernabéu is too short... six more years and forever," the Brazilian posted on Instagram following the agreement.
Negotiations between the club and player had been ongoing for some time, though expectations were always that Vinicius would stay at Madrid. The Spanish giants improved their financial offer during meetings with club hierarchy to secure the renewal, definitively closing the door on any English football advances. The forward will be 32 when his new contract expires.
