Vinícius locks down his future: six more years at Madrid until 2032

The waiting is over. Vinícius Júnior has secured his future by renewing with Real Madrid until 30 June 2032, as confirmed by the Spanish club. The Brazilian winger signs a six-year extension that puts an end to summer market speculation, with Arsenal as the main suitor.

The 26-year-old was entering the final stretch of his contract with just 12 months remaining, which had alerted leading contenders. A difficult 2024-25 campaign in which Madrid failed to win trophies and the arrival of José Mourinho raised questions, but everything has now been resolved. "Eight years at the Bernabéu are too few... six more years, and forever!" the player wrote on Instagram.

Linked to the Spanish side since July 2018 at just 18 years old, Vinícius has racked up 375 appearances, 128 goals and 14 titles in a Madrid shirt, including two Champions Leagues. With his future now secured, he can focus on recovering his best form under Mourinho's management following a tough season that included Brazil's disappointing World Cup exit.
