Vinicius renews with Madrid through 2032

After months of uncertainty, Real Madrid has confirmed Vinicius Jr.'s contract renewal. The club and the Brazilian star have agreed to extend his deal until June 2032, adding six more seasons to his time at the Bernabéu, according to the official statement.

Vinicius himself celebrated the agreement with a social media post: "Eight years at the Bernabéu are too short... 6 more years and forever". The player's representatives and the Madrid board reached an understanding after Real Madrid increased its offer to 22 million euros per season, topping the initial 20 million proposal his agents had rejected.

According to Mundo Deportivo, José Mourinho's backing proved decisive in securing the renewal. The Portuguese manager pushed the club hard on keeping one of his key players. Without this deal, Vinicius would have been sold this summer: Arsenal was monitoring his situation and the Brazilian could negotiate with any team from January 1st onwards.
