Zaragoza reactivates bid for striker Jesús de Miguel

The Madrid striker returns to Real Zaragoza's priority list after recovering from injury.

Jesús de Miguel is back in focus at Real Zaragoza. The Madrid-born striker, who had been a summer target but fell out of favour due to pubic bone issues, emerges again as the main candidate to strengthen Zaragoza's attack in Primera RFEF, according to Sport.

The forward's return to full training, following his comeback to group work last Thursday, combined with Zaragoza's struggles to find alternatives, has prompted the club to reactivate a deal that had stalled. Contact between the clubs and the player has remained constant throughout the summer.

The Tenerife side, who do not count De Miguel in their Segunda squad, are asking for around €150,000 to sell the striker. Zaragoza, initially reluctant to spend that amount, is now reconsidering. With personal terms between the player and the Aragonese club largely agreed, it now comes down to the two clubs reaching a deal. Joaquín Delgado and other strikers remain alternatives, but De Miguel is back in the frame with considerable force.
