Zidane begins new France role with visits to Lens and Clairefontaine

The new French manager attended Lens' Trophée des Champions victory over PSG and visited the national training center.

Zinédine Zidane has launched his new spell as France manager by visiting two key locations for his project. Fifteen days after his official appointment on August 1st, with a four-year contract, the French coach was present at Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Sunday to watch RC Lens defeat Paris Saint Germain in the Trophée des Champions (1-0), according to *L'Équipe*.

Beyond the match, Zidane took the opportunity to visit the National Football Center at Clairefontaine, where the French team prepares for its upcoming commitments. The former Real Madrid boss replaces Didier Deschamps on the Bleus' bench, taking charge of a side seeking to recover its form after recent tournaments.

These first outings allow Zidane to re-establish direct contact with French football and familiarize himself with the spaces where he will work as the national team's head coach.
